Mission Kids is an inquiry-driven, inclusive preschool that nurtures the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth of each student. Our emergent and play-based curriculum fosters compassion, curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.
We believe relationships and community are the building blocks for children and families to flourish. Families work as a team with teachers to extend learning at school and beyond the classroom.
CO-OP
Not just a school, a community
A cooperative preschool is an early education program in which parents or guardians take an active role. Our local preschool is supported by families who work alongside trained teachers to provide their children with a quality early learning experience. Parents, caregivers, children, and teachers all work, play, and learn together.
LOCATION
Right in the heart of the Mission
Mission kids is a preschool in San Francisco, California. We are located at 969 Treat Ave between 22nd street and 23rd street. Our affordable childcare location in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission District offers walkability and easy access to transit for multiple communities. In addition, we offer white line loading outside the building for drop- off and pick-up.
FACILITY
Built for us from the ground up
Our facility is a brand new construction designed from the ground up specifically for young children. With multiple classrooms, outdoor learning spaces, on-site animals, garden, kitchen-access, and more, our facilities offer plenty of space for our students to explore and learn in a safe environment.
FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
Get ready to roll up your sleeves
As a co-op preschool, Mission Kids relies on our families as the heart of our organization. Each family is responsible for working a shift in the classroom, holding a family job, volunteering for school upkeep, and participating in our annual fundraising efforts. We also require families to attend community meetings and caregiver education workshops.
